      This is an attempt to direct the attention of "distance 
learning." 

      This entire concept, until now, seems to have been focused on 
technical aspects of learning. It seems, also, to have forgotten the
very ideas on which learning language are based. We wish to address 
these ideas, and to offer some connections between past and present 
(connections the creators of "education links" and "distance learning"
are based -- the connections of the human brain, itself).
